What a great day!! Not much partying around here, but we did have a nice day. I worked on making a couple more of my bags. Dan took the kids to Walmart to look for a game. They came home with Risk. The spent a long time playing that. I got to play too! ;) I took a long nap and then we all had ice cream and watched a youtube video about the Declaration of Independence.
We watched about half of "Heather's" before it was time for dinner. Steak, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob! Yay!
Then it was off to the fireworks. The city had a big show at the high school in town. The Marines were there with tanks and transports. The boys loved that! The Marines we talked to were so nice. The boys stood there asking them all kinds of questions about equipment they had. The fireworks were awesome. The was the Pledge of Alligence, The National Anthem, and Pastor Jerrel said a prayer for our country. The show was interrupted by a small technical problem, but the got it working again. The best was seeing the Marines on top of the transports silloetted against the fireworks. I tried to take a picture, but it didn't work.
After the show, we saw some friends from our homeschool group! The boys were runnning around picking up pieces of firework shells. Nikki and I were passing out copies of the Constitution! :)
We're home and I'm ready for bed. The boys will take a bit to wind down though. Hopefully we will get to bed before midnight.

What a wonderful day! Your fireworks pics came ot really nice - I think my camera is too slow to catch them. It seems you have to click the button a few seconds BEFORE the firework explodes.
